About This Campbell Home Addition
This Campbell home grew by about half. We added 700 sq ft to the original 1,400 sq ft house, creating a new bedroom and bathroom, a garage and a home office, then remodeled the entire interior to tie old and new together.
The kitchen is the heart of the project. We vaulted the ceiling and added skylights to fill it with daylight, then built the kitchen, pantry, laundry room and primary closet in custom French oak in our own shop. Countertops are fully fabricated high-end quartzite, with marble and gold accents through the bathrooms.
We planned the design so the city treated it as an addition and remodel rather than new construction, which saved the owners the cost and code upgrades of a full rebuild.
