Every city gets our full range of services: design and permitting, finish materials sourcing, kitchens and custom cabinetry, bathrooms, whole-home remodels, and additions, second stories and ADUs. What changes from city to city is the local know-how:
- San Jose & Willow Glen: we’ve built a lot of home additions here. San Jose’s permit system is a huge bureaucratic machine, and we know how to work it, from same-day express permits for small additions to the extra permit required above 45% floor area.
- Campbell: we’ve built a lot of home additions here, mostly on single-story ranch homes on flat lots, with design review when a project changes the look of the street.
- Saratoga: we’ve built a lot of home additions here. Saratoga protects trees more strictly than most cities, and we know how to manage arborist reports, tree protection and replacement rules. It also counts driveways and paving against how much you can build.
- Portola Valley: one of the most technical towns to build in, with detailed rules, architectural review and story poles when required. We’re working through that process here right now.
- Los Gatos & Monte Sereno: hillside development standards, slope foundations and access on narrow mountain roads.
- Fremont: expansive clay soil and the foundation upgrades second stories need.
- Menlo Park, Palo Alto & Redwood City: neighborhood-fit review for additions, daylight-plane rules and protected trees.
- Hayward Hills: hillside lots, older homes and City of Hayward plan check.
- San Carlos: hillside streets, retaining walls and design review for larger projects.
- Belmont: hillside lots, retaining walls and design review for larger projects.
